3HRCPD Swimming Pool Legislation (3 CPD Points)

BPB Approved Swimming Pool Barrier CPD Activity – 3 hrs

This course was approved by the NSW Building Professionals Board as a recognised CPD Activity for E 1 Swimming Pool Certifiers, and A category Building Certifiers.

We will review some of the confusing aspects of the legislation that relate to the inspection of swimming pool barriers for the purposes of issuing a swimming pool compliance certificate. In particular we will:

1.Identify and clarify the topical areas of the legislation causing concern and inconsistency throughout industry

2.Identify the legal obligations of both the privately accredited certifier and Council Swimming pool officer in relation to the inspection of a swimming pool barrier for the purposes of issuing a swimming pool non-compliance and swimming pool compliance certificate.

The course will also include an open forum which will give you the opportunity to ask questions or to provide scenarios and situations that may be causing concern or confusion.

The course will be presented by Bruce Begnell and Jeremy Dicello, both of whom have extensive experience in swimming pool legislation, and represent on relevant government organised committees including the Cross Agency Advisory Group.
